Raising Awareness
At Outwood Academy Freeston, we understand the importance of raising awareness of mental health issues and promoting the ability to achieve positive mental health.
That's why all of our teaching staff and support staff have taken part in a whole staff training event run by the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust. Through this training, staff are equipped to understand and support our students through whatever crisis they may be facing.
Students are aware that any staff member who wears the green mental health ribbon pin has received training and is doing their bit to raise awareness of mental health.
